The Powerful Results of a Journey to the Heart
Salvation
I am the second girl that got saved in the Northwoods during the September Journey to the Heart. I have some very exciting news to tell you.
Soul-winning
One week after our Journey ended, we visited another ATI family’s house. I shared my testimony with their oldest daughter, Stephanie. The next day she called and told me that she had been thinking all night about what I had said and realized her need for a Savior. With the help of her recently saved parents, she gave her heart to the Lord. I was so excited! I felt like jumping up and down and crying for joy, which was the same feeling I had experienced at my salvation just thirteen days before. I prayed with her and blessed her like my team leader had done for me.
But the story does not end there. About thirty minutes later, Stephanie called back and exclaimed, “Stacey has some very exiting news for you!” She then gave Stacey the phone and Stacey explained that after realizing she had never experienced the joy her sister had, she also chose to become a Christian. God has now given her that same joy. I was so excited! The excitement continues. Last Friday my only brother humbled himself at the foot of the cross and accepted Christ’s redemption. I never dreamed that so much could ever happen in one week. Now I am now trying to disciple my brother, Stephen. I am also going to keep in touch with Stephanie and Stacey.
Discipling
Please pray that I would continue to grow in my newfound faith. Last Sunday my two older sisters and I, along with my friend Carrie and her sister, went through one of the hearts that we had not yet reviewed. The Lord used this study to help me realize that I do not have a believing, sound heart. Please pray that God would help me to have a heart that would stand firm. Please also pray that Stephanie, Stacey, and Stephen would continue to grow in the love of Christ, which they have just begun to experience.
Rejoicing
I cannot thank you enough for making it possible for me to participate on such a Journey—it honestly was the best week of my life! This testimony is just a glimpse of what happened to me. This account hardly goes into detail, because so much has happened that I was unable to write it all down.
