Imagine yourself in Bucharest, Romania. As you walk down the street your eyes are drawn to an old man sitting on the curb, his face lined and his eyes hopeless. Your gaze continues and you see a group of street children passing around bags of glue, sniffing it for the brief high it gives them. You notice old women and young adults, all walking through life with the same hopeless expression. They are without hope because they are without Christ.
We have been given a unique and powerful opportunity in Romania to bring the light and hope of the Gospel to these people. Through teaching Character First!® in the public schools of Romania we have a chance to cultivate friendships with students and teachers. Come help develop in those relationships a hunger and a thirst for righteousness!
You can be apart of this incredible opportunity this year as a team goes over to continue the work through the fall semester. If your heart is in reaching children and teachers with the light of truth, then we urge you to prayerfully consider this trip.
Activities
The primary activity of students will be teaching character in elementary schools. However, students will also participate in planned outings to serve in local orphanages and community centers, helping to put on Basic Seminars in local churches, and support Sunday School programs.
Training
Previous CF!® training is very helpful. Practical training and first hand experience is gained though working with teachers in the schools. One week orientation is provided at the beginning of the trip.
Leadership
Paul Copu, IBLPs Romania Director, leads the team. He will be responsible for your housing, transportation, and any other needs you have while in Romania.
